Happy Pepero Day!

In case you failed to notice, 11-11-11 happened yesterday.

November 11th is Pepero Day in Korea and since this year is 11-11-11 Gail decided to host an EXTREME Pepero Day party.  It was at 11:00 and we technically did not start until....

11/11/11 at 11:11:11am.

Yep, we were just that cool.

ANYhow....it was a fun party complete with Pepero day facts and making.

In case you don't know what Pepero day is, don't feel bad. I didn't either before moving to Korea.  It is similar to Valentine's Day (although they also celebrate Valentine's Day and White Day, which is in March and another similar to Valentine's Day day -- Koreans are very loving I guess?).  It originated by giving your friends and those you love this candy (which is basically a tall, thin biscuit covered in chocolate coating) as a way of wishing them to grow tall and thin.  It has turned into giving this candy in all sorts of forms to all those you love.  It's a great snack, one of our personal favorites!
