The Little Bear Cafe

One of the other moms from church (Ashley) invited me to go with her and some of her friends to The Little Bear Cafe on Friday. It was a lot of fun and it was great to get out of the house and go do something.  Caleb seemed to enjoy it and I really enjoyed hanging out with some other moms!

The Little Bear Cafe is a little cafe in a neighboring town that is basically one large open room with tables in the middle for moms to sit and hang out, toys everywhere for kiddos to play, a big play area (similar to a McDonalds playland), a big trampoline, a ball pit, a dress up room, nursing room etc and a small coffee shop off to one side.  There were several women working there who basically picked up and organized the toys all day to make sure it didn't get too out of hand. The idea is to have a place for moms to come hang out, drink coffee and watch the kids play.  It was about $6 per kiddo and $4 per mama (coffee included).  What a great idea, right?

I really enjoyed my time with Caleb.  He walked a lot and was really busy exploring everything.

I just couldn't get over all the steps he took!

He mostly just had a very intent and serious look on his face the whole time (but he did occasionally flash that make-your-heart-melt smile).

He enjoyed when I helped him "bounce" on the trampoline,

he cried at the ball pit, he liked when I went down the slide with him, he loved the kitchen set and the toy trains.

And on our way home, he did the unimagineable and fell asleep in the car.  For those of you who know Caleb well, you know that never happens.

He was tired out!
